What’s New?

Did you know that in July (this year on July 3) our planet Earth reaches its farthest point from the sun in its elliptical orbit, its aphelion. Despite this, the Northern Hemisphere experiences its warmest temperatures thanks to our planet's tilted axis, creating a paradoxical combination of maximum distance and maximum heat. But with the heat comes a lot of goodness.  July is a time to appreciate the glory of summer ripeness. Beans, corn, and squash mature in the gardens as young birds spread their wings for their first flights. And let's not forget the rapid growth of deer antlers earning the full moon this month the nickname "Buck Moon." This month of abundance also comes with significant celebrations. Independence Day festivities, Obon festivals, and our own unique Garlic Festival which is back this year.

In keeping with the season, at Cupertino TV Productions too new show proposals are taking their first steps and many shows are at various points in the production line.

New Hope for Cancer Patients premiered on June 20, check it out below and short films that new and not-so-new members made for ShortFest recently premiered, check them out on the Playlists tab of our YouTube channel!

As you know, Cupertino TV Productions recently held elections for its Executive Committee. We have a new president, recording secretary and treasurer. If you are interested in finding out more about us, we meet first and third Tuesday of every month at Cupertino Senior Center, to plan production teams, learn new video-production techniques, and review shows for release. We guarantee you will want to explore your creativity after spending some time with us.

Check out our shows below, on our Shows page and our YouTube channel.

Until next time!

Heads up!

Why Water Fitness

Water is a crucial component for all living organisms, including us humans. It makes up over 60% of our body weight and plays a vital role in many bodily functions. Water is required for regulating body temperature, transporting nutrients and oxygen, and flushing out waste products. But being in water also provides a low-impact environment that reduces stress on joints and muscles. Plus, water resistance adds an extra challenge to exercises, improving strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Water fitness classes offer unique benefits to your overall health and well-being and are good for your mind and soul too. Watch this video — a first place winner at W.A.V.E. 2024 — for its wisdom and visuals.

Producers: Melinda Reynard and Adek Hanukai

CTVP Life in Pictures

Our lives as producers revolve around the studio, meetings, and on location filming. With cameras that ride inside phones in our pockets and purses, photos of our lives abound. Check them out in this section. There are pictures from KMVT15’s field equipment class for Cupertino TV Productions, new members’ training on studio equipment, Volunteer Appreciation Lunch day at CSC, CSC’s Open house, post-production crew shoots and myriad others just because we came together to create something. Mostly because we are feeling good about ourselves or for members and partners who are volunteering — creating, crewing, and giving us a reason to celebrate creativity :)
